Mark offers Integrative counselling which is person-centered and psychodynamic. These approaches are uniquely tailored to the client by looking at their present which may lead to looking at their history to link current concerns or anxieties with past experiences. Mark is passionate about exploring his client’s life challenges to facilitate the correct processes to move forward, grow and heal.
Mark Hoffman offers support in an empathetic, non-judgmental way. He has experience in helping those with a wide range of issues in a safe therapeutic space, allowing the client to explore their aims, thoughts and emotions. Mark aims to explore the client’s inner strengths and resources, building on these to improve their general well-being and self-growth. He allows his clients to talk about concerns, problems and fears, placing their needs first and providing space so clients feel at ease as he assists them through the process.
Before counselling Mark had years of experience in hospitality management which provided him with the ability to get on with people from all walks of life. Over the years he has lived in several countries in Asia, Africa and Australia. He has engaged with many different cultures both professionally and personally, which naturally assists his ability in empathetical understanding of a diverse range of clients.
Mark has also volunteered as a peer mentor for substance and alcohol misuse, helping clients achieve their goals with great success. Mark is an Integrative counsellor and is registered with the BACP. He is working towards a diploma in Integrative Counselling and currently works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Wandsworth Service.
