Anxiety, indecision, critical thoughts, feeling stuck or unsure of who we are and how we belong in the world are issues that can affect us all, yet each of us has our own individual story that has led us to where we are now. As a therapist, Millie Burton doesn’t claim to know the answers and is unlikely to give advice. Instead, she offers a non-judgemental space in which to explore what might be blocking you from feeling more comfortable in yourself, your life and your relationships.
Millie brings to her work an interest in attachment, child development and relational body psychotherapy. This means that she pays particular attention to early childhood experiences, relationship patterns, and the here-and-now embodied experience of relating to another person, especially that which is most difficult to articulate. Most importantly, she will listen and attend to what you bring to each session. Millie has experience in working with relationship problems, depression, anxiety, chronic ambivalence and indecision, infertility, adoption and parenthood. Millie has worked with adult clients at therapy services in North and South London, and in a play-therapy setting with school children in a South London primary school.
Millie is an integrative counsellor working in private practice in Clapham Common. She has a diploma in integrative counselling from the Minster Centre. Millie is registered with the BACP and is committed to regular continuing professional development to inform and enhance her practice.
