Mirda Goldsmith believes in walking alongside client, putting herself in the client’s shoes and helping them to cope and move forward in their life journey. She has an integrative approach in counselling to suit each individual client and provide them with supportive, non-judgmental, trustworthy spaces whilst still respecting client’s own choice.
Mirda helps her clients to explore their emotions, thinking, life problems to a relevant depth of their issues, whether there are deeper issues than what the client comes with or there could be the obvious issues. She has an open mind to journey with the client to find out more about themselves and to help them recognise their self-worth, security and purpose.
Mirda has a background in architecture and has worked over 20 years in the construction industry. Her experience can help with the understanding with workplace issue, the pressure of home – work life balance, deadlines and how to cope with the pressures. With experience in anxiety, depression, bereavement, being a Mum and family issues Mirda can empathise and support those clients in similar problems. She also understands the impact of living in different culture, she can help client to understand and adapt to new language, custom, food and culture.
Mirda is an integrative trainee counsellor and a member of BACP. She is working towards her degree BA (Hons) in Counselling. She works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Counselling Service Sutton.
