Monica Zenonos is an experienced therapist who will work in partnership with you to explore the difficulties you are experiencing. She will work to uncover old patterns and help discover places for growth and development, encouraging both acceptance and change. She works creatively using visual imagery , inner child work, body work, breathing and grounding exercises, as well as working pragmatically and with your everyday reality and current limitations. She offers support and help in finding meaning and purpose in your life and moving through the stuckness that clients often feel by working with the whole you; mind, body and spirit.
Monica has a background in working with refugees and asylum seekers and in mediation. She has set up two national organisations providing information and support to people involved in health services and with a specific neuro-cognitive condition. Monica has always worked to give people a voice and empower people who have felt marginalised and this way of working in partnership with clients comes through in the therapy she provides. She then went on to work as a therapist for a trauma service and has specialised in Trauma, PTSD, and Occupational Health issues and is a supervisor for a leading mental health charity.
Monica is a psychosynthesis psychotherapist and EMDR practitioner. She has a Masters in Psychotherapy and additional training in EMDR, various types of body work, compassion-focused CBT, Graded exposure, narrative exposure and creative writing for therapeutic purposes. She also has a certificate in supervision. She works in private practice in London Bridge.
