Nariman works on an open-ended basis within The Awareness Centre’s low-cost counselling service. She can offer therapy in English and Arabic

Nariman is able to use different approaches depending on the needs of her clients. She believes that each individual is unique which is why she, an integrative counsellor, uses a non-directive, person-centred approach. This encourages clients to fulfil their own potential and find their inner power to explore their feelings, improve themselves and help them find their own way to overcome their difficulties. Nariman uses CBT techniques to help individuals change their negative feelings and improve their state of mind in order to positively change their lives and to explore the interaction of current thoughts, feelings and behaviour. As well as this, psychosexual therapy is used to help couples who are experiencing problems. This aims to prevent such problems from escalating. Nariman welcomes her clients in an empathetic, non-judgemental, supportive space where she believes that trust between counsellor and client is key for a positive counselling experience.

With a background as an architect, Nariman has gained key skills in time management and responsibility. She also approaches things systemically and logically. Nariman is passionate about helping people face every aspect of their lives and deal with adverse situations in order to better their lives, knowing the importance of the family unit she is eager to help people overcome their problems whether it’s a relationship or sexual problem.
