Natasha Huggins-Woolcock creates a warm and supportive environment for her clients. She has a firm belief that each individual holds the answers for themselves. With empathic assistance, she aids the unfolding of their story and helps deepen their understanding of themselves. She believes the most important part of the session is just being there with the client.
Natasha explores within her client’s story, allowing the client to see their pain, stress, anxiety, relationship issues or discomfort from a different viewpoint. Over time, the client gains self-empowerment and self-worth enabling them to move forward smoothly in their life. Natasha works mainly with a Humanistic quality. She uses a person-centred approach, initially listening and exploring then, depending on the client’s needs, introducing other theories such as Psychodynamics to identify past unconscious repetitive patterns. This heightens the client’s awareness of themselves.
Natasha spent over 20 years working in accountancy in various sectors and companies trying to balance work, personal and home life. She understands internal and external conflict issues that put a strain on an individual’s wellbeing mentally, spiritually and physically. In the aftermath of a personal loss, she has developed a particular interest in loss and bereavement and family issues.
Natasha is an integrative counsellor and is registered with the BACP as a student member. She works within The Awareness Centre’s low-cost counselling service in Tooting. She is currently working towards her Level 4 diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. She has helped out in the Cubs, children aged 8 to 10, and now helps out with the Scouts movement of children aged 10 upwards in their weekly meeting group.
