Nicholas Vassilopoulos trained in Core Process Psychotherapy, a mindfulness-based approach that can support us to bring awareness to what is difficult and/or causing us to suffer.
The approach, practised in an environment of joint-enquiry, kindness and compassion, understands awareness to be intrinsically healing and supportive of our discovering greater choice and freedom in our lives. The main focus of this approach is to be present and open to whatever suffering the client is bringing without any judgement, with a real focus on the here and now.
After 15 years working in London running a high-stress business, Nick became disillusioned with this way of life and started a slow journey to discovering the importance of presence, self-care and connection.
Drawing on a wealth of personal experience and a continuing Masters training in Core Process Psychotherapy at The Karuna Institute in Devon, He welcomes you to a calm, safe and open space in which to explore whatever difficulties you are experiencing.
Nick is in the clinical year (4th year) of a Masters degree at the Karuna Institute. He is graduating in 2021 and working towards UKCP accreditation. He is currently doing an NHS placement for The Awareness Centre in Wandsworth as well as seeing private clients. He is also currently working on a dissertation on the effects of developmental trauma.
