Nickan Arzpeyma provides a confidential, supportive and non-judgemental space in order to help his clients in understanding their emotional struggles and the thoughts and feelings that drive them. Nickan works relationally by drawing upon different therapeutic approaches such as psychodynamic, humanistic, existential and cognitive therapy. He supports his clients in recognising and processing how their life experiences might be effecting their current situation. Nickan facilitates a safe environment for his clients to explore thoughts, behaviours and feelings which may keep them from moving past their fears, anxieties and depressive feelings.
Nickan has a background in education and art. He has accomplished and demonstrated his ability in supporting adolescents to meet their personal and social needs by enabling them to recognise their own abilities. Throughout his time in education as a pastoral programme director and assistant pastoral manager, he has consistently built and maintained professional and positive relationships with students, which enabled him to make a difference in their lives.
Nickan is a trainee counsellor working towards completing his final year of a Diploma in Integrative Counselling with Inter-Psyche Institute, Kent and Medway NHS. Nickan offers therapy in English and Persian. He is a member of BACP and works with The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service in Wandsworth.
