Nicola De Bergolis
Nicola De Bergolis provides a safe, empathetic and non-judgemental space within which she works collaboratively with clients supporting them in gaining a greater understanding of themselves and their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. As an integrative counsellor, with an emphasis on the Person-Centred approach, she believes that we all have potential to affect real and lasting positive change if provided with the right environment within which to explore. Placing her client at the centre of her work, Nicola looks to help them determine their goals for the therapy, as well as supporting them through their very personal journey of greater awareness and change.
Nicola spent many years in the corporate world building and managing large teams. This led to a genuine understanding of the pressures and challenges faced by many of us in finding balance and meaning across the many areas of our lives, and the negative impact this can have on our mental health. Her desire to help others in achieving greater understanding and fulfilment was a key reason for her decision to retrain as a counsellor. Nicola believes that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution and that every client must be seen, and be valued for the unique individual that they are. This enables her to work individually with her clients; tailoring her approach to meet their own personal experiences.
Nicola is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and is currently studying for a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Integrative). She works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service in Wandsworth.
