Nicola Elmes is a qualified therapist with more than 5 years’ experience working in the private, voluntary and public sectors. Registered with the BACP and holding Diplomas in Integrative Therapy and CBT, she works with individuals.
Nicola strives to provide a relaxed, informal, confidential safe space where she helps her clients look at links from their past to make sense of the present, to help identify negative behavioural patterns that prevent them from leading a fulfilled life and realising their true potential. She believes that therapy can help you accept yourself and be comfortable with who you are and help equip you with the tools to help you move forward in life.
Nicola understands that looking for the right therapist can seem overwhelming and all the different styles can seem confusing, so she offers an Integrative approach which incorporates all the different models of therapy to find an approach that is right for the client and suits their needs.
As well as depression, Nicola’s specialist areas include relationships, family issues, self-esteem/low-confidence and anxiety. Nicola began her counselling training by working for the UK’s largest bereavement agency with bereaved adults.
