Patricia provides a safe space so her clients can confidentially share their issues, with the knowledge that they will be fully heard and understood in an empathetic manner.
While counselling helps clients to process difficult or painful thoughts and feelings, she believes that therapy can also focus on developing the potential of her clients. She works with them to identify and draw on their inner resources to live a fuller, more satisfying life.
Patricia has an integrative approach, drawing upon the person-centred approach to help clients explore present experiences, thoughts and feelings combined with a psychodynamic approach to gain insight from her client’s past experiences, relational pattern thoughts and behaviours that may be influencing their present world.
She aims to help her clients understand and manage their relationships in a healthier way, always tailoring her approach to the individual client.
With a background as an employment lawyer, and years of experience as a financial PR consultant in Frankfurt, Patricia has an interest and experience in workplace issues and conflict resolution.
She understands the internal and external pressures people can put on themselves, which can lead to unhelpful or damaging coping strategies. She works to identify healthier ways of managing emotions and stress. She also specialises in anxiety, depression, and has a special interest in self-esteem issues.
Patricia is currently working towards a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and is a registered BACP member. She works within the Awareness Centre’s NHS Wandsworth counselling service.
