Pearl Shang Simpson
Pearl Shang-Simpson provides an empathetic, confidential and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and innermost feelings. She aims to support her clients to make better sense of their issues in a safe, supportive and no judgment environment. Her Person-Centred focus encourages client to work together with her to explore and process their innermost difficult feelings so that they can move forward in making realistic change to manage or cope with their challenges in a fulfilling way.
Pearl has a background as a nurse and midwife working extensively in various positions in the NHS. She has a wealth of experience working and building professional relationships with others and understands the pressures individuals can find themselves under. She works collaboratively with the client to build on their self-esteem and guide them to increase their self-awareness. She particularly works with clients with anxiety, depression, stress and issues relating with pregnancy and childbirth.
She has experience working in the NHS with people from diverse ethnic, cultural background and from vulnerable and marginalised groups. She works hard to listen, be attentive and understand her clients and is committed to showing respect to every individual client.
Pearl is working towards the Diploma in Therapeutic counsellor and will become an integrative counsellor. She is registered with BACP and works at the Low Cost Counselling service at Tooting.
