Rachel Bobillier believes that therapy can not only alleviate personal difficulties but also provide a meaningful and transformational space for clients. Because she believes therapy is an individual, personal matter, Rachel’s approach is integrative, drawing on various modalities depending on the needs of each client. In all instances, she strives to establish a genuine, respectful, and trusting relationship with her clients in which the person can feel safe and empowered to work towards living a happier and fuller life. In doing so, Rachel abides by the UKCP code of ethics.
With a BA in Management and Economics, a long career within the banking and fund management industry, and plenty of life experience, Rachel’s path has led her to embark on a different journey and train to be a psychotherapist. She draws on her professional experience of high pressure environments, her personal journey thus far as well as her multi-cultural background to provide a compassionate, supportive and resourceful space for clients. Rachel does not specialise in any particular area and believes that although clients might exhibit similar symptoms of depression, addiction, anxiety or other disorders, the root of the problem and consequently the path to healing is unique and specific to each individual.
Rachel is training towards a diploma as an integrative and transpersonal psychotherapist. Rachel takes a holistic approach to therapy and recognises the singularity of each individual. She is fluent and able to consult in English, French and Spanish. She is registered as a trainee with the UKCP and the BACP and works within The Awareness Centre’s low-cost counselling service in Clapham.
