Rachel Woodley is a trainee integrative counsellor registered with the BACP. She works with The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service at a GP surgery in Lambeth. Rachel is currently working towards a level 4 diploma in Counselling.
Rachel’s approach to counselling sessions is one that allows clients to feel relaxed and understood in a safe and confidential environment. Rachel works to allow clients to explore their deepest thoughts and feelings with her support, allowing them space and time to discover their full potential. Rachel works with her clients to understand that the up’s and down’s experienced in life can be used to strengthen them and be used positively in the world in which we live today. Rachel has an intergrative approach drawing on CBT, and Transactional Analysis, exploring clients current life scripts and working with them to rewrite them. Rachel’s practice is built on the foundation of allowing the client to be in control of the sessions and being empathic and non judgemental through out.
Rachel has a background in childcare at a senior level and has worked as a director for many years. She has a passion for youth and supporting them through puberty. Rachel has also worked as a mentor for young women and so is aware of the issues they face growing up in todays society, and aims to support them through that in her intergrative approach to counselling.
