Radha Bhabuta is an empathic and friendly counsellor who provides a safe and supportive space where clients are able to open up and be heard without judgement. She works closely with clients to help understand and identify inner strengths as a means of living a fulfilling, happy life. Radha is aware that counselling can initially be an painful process, however she encourages her clients to focuson finding peace and happiness within themselves. Working integratively means that Radha draws on different ways of counselling, incorporating different methods, adapting when necessary based on a clients’ needs.
Radha’s main approach to counselling is person-centred for anyone who is feeling distressed, providing the space and care necessary to keep them safe and toenable them to talk freely. She may incorporate CBT as a means of identifying patterns in behaviours and mindfulness to calm any forms of anxiety. A humanistic approach enables her to analyse the client’s life as a whole, incorporating the past, present and future. With a background working in a multitude of office environments, Radha has personally experienced or helped colleagues through workplace conflicts and the pressures that can arise when managing a work/life balance. She is aware of the negative influences and pressures of daily life that can arise which can lead to damaging coping strategies. She works with the intention of encouraging healthier ways of managing stress and anxiety. Also specialising in depression, low self-esteem, relationships and abuse, she is calm, careful and trusting to those in need of support.
Radha is an integrative counsellor working in private practice at The Awareness Centre in Clapham. She has an advanced diploma in therapeutic counselling and is a member of the BACP. She is also able to offer therapy in Punjabi and English.
