Rafaella Papantoniou provides a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can open up about anything that is on their minds and reflect on the situations that they find themselves in. There are no right or wrong questions, only the ones that feel right and meaningful to them. Inquiring into ourselves can be emotionally difficult but it is also rewarding. Working together we will establish a greater recognition of your strengths, empowering you to find your own way of living your life and opening up new possibilities.
Rafaella uses an Integrative approach, which means she draws elements from various theoretical positions, such as compassion-focused therapy, CBT, along with existential & humanistic approaches, depending on each individual’s unique needs. Her work includes enabling you to develop insights into your own psychological processes and encouraging you to find your own answers to the questions that you may face, according to your own values.
Rafaella holds two bachelor’s degrees in Sociology & Psychology and she has been awarded an MSc in Health Psychology. Her clinical interests span the areas of anxiety and personality disorders. She has worked in various clinical settings, including mental health units with people diagnosed with complex personality disorders and schizophrenia, charities providing support to ex-military personnel and a brain rehabilitation unit for people with acquired brain injuries. She has experience in neuropsychological assessments and treatment, particularly in the area of emotional and social adjustment of individuals with neurocognitive disorders and chronic conditions.
