Romy Leach provides an empathetic, safe and reflective space where clients can seek to better understand themselves and their life experiences. Romy’s clients will explore their inner and external worlds, and their relationships with themselves and others with the goal of gaining self-awareness and improving their psychological wellbeing. Romy uses short term intensive dynamic psychotherapy to help clients increase their self-esteem, maintain and experience better relationships.
Before starting her counselling training, Romy’s profession was in the creative media, working in the music industry and in film and television. She was drawn to these industries as she had always had a fascination with people, their stories and experiences. Romy’s background in music and film informs her work as a therapist, as she believes it is the stories we tell about our selves that define us. Romy works with anxiety, helping people improve their communication issues, their relationships, and self-esteem.
Romy is registered with the BPS and BACP. She has a Bachelor of Science in Counselling Psychology, Levels Two and Three CounsellingCertificates and is currently working towards an MA in PsychodynamicCounselling. She works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service and sees patients at a GP surgery in Lambeth.
