Rosie Jones believes that counselling provides us with a safe, non-judgemental and open space to express ourselves and our emotions. By creating this space for her clients, Rosie hopes to help people become aware of their true selves and find their way through difficult times. As an integrative counsellor, Rosie focuses her sessions on the client and what they feel they want and need at that time. She believes there is so much value and relief that comes from talking through feelings, so they can begin to make sense and stop weighing you down. Rosie mainly works in a person-centred modality, meaning she allows the client to lead and supports them to do so, but also drawing on the psychodynamic approach to look beneath the surface and explore how the past may be affecting the present. By creating a strong therapeutic relationship based on compassion, kindness, and honesty, Rosie wants to empower her clients to feel better.
Rosie works for a charity which supports those caring for loved ones, and continues to fight for their rights and well-being. With experience working in South Africa with young people, Rosie is passionate about supporting young adults to cope in hard periods of growing up and discovering who they really are. Rosie is especially aware of how anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and stress can prevent people reaching their full potential and happiness, and being content with self.
Rosie is an integrative counsellor focusing on person centred and psychodynamic approaches. She works within The Awareness Centre’s low cost counselling service in Clapham. Rosie is studying towards a Diploma in integrative counselling, and is a student member of the BACP.
