Sandra Silva Juhasz
Sandra Silva Juhasz believes that everyone has the capacity to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. She provides a non-judgemental and confidential environment where clients feel safe and welcome. She aims to facilitate change by helping her clients to discover new ways of relating to their internal world. As a humanistic integrative counsellor, she uses a range of theoretical approaches and skills to work with the individual needs of each person. During her work, she uses the core conditions of the Humanistic approach to form a good relationship with her clients. These conditions are empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence. The Humanistic approach also offers a space where people are encouraged to say what comes to their mind. As the sessions progress, she may also use a psychodynamic approach in order to understand her client’s past experiences; and techniques to change thought patterns.
Before training as a counsellor, Sandra lived and worked in different countries where she gained multicultural competency. She also worked with children for many years where she learned about the importance of early attachments. As someone who has studied counselling for many years, she understands internal conflicts and difficulties we all face on a daily basis.
Sandra is working towards an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling. She is a member of BACP and currently on placement with The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service in Wandsworth.
