Sandy Baiju provides counselling in a welcoming and receptive environment, where she is supporting clients who are experiencing difficult periods in their lives. With entuned empathy, she helps clients in navigating their thoughts, emotions and feelings and aids their ability to identify and draw on their own inner resources to enable them to develop resilience and move forward. Sandy uses an Integrative model approach that’s based mainly on Psychodynamic and Person-Centred theories. This allows her to best support the direct needs of the individual client; through drawing from the most suitable approach of working. She understands that everyone is different and all clients come to therapy with a variety of needs. Therefore, it is important for Sandy to engage on an individual basis to build trust and give help in a safe space.

Sandy is a trainee counsellor and is studying for her CPCAB Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. She re-trained in counselling after working in the financial sector for over 25 years. She has experience in supporting people suffering from high stress levels and experience of crisis. These conditions are of particular interest in her counselling practice as her experience with work-related stress can provide insight and perspective. She also works with vulnerable adults and is a trained yoga teacher where she uses yoga techniques such as breathing exercises and meditation to bring calm.

Sandy is registered with the BACP and sees NHS patients for The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service in Wandsworth.
