Sarah McGuinness is an integrative psychotherapist experienced in working with a wide range of issues including: anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, parenting issues, relationship issues, postnatal depression, bereavement, anger management, OCD, eating disorders, binge eating, body confidence issues and family problems.
All of us face challenges in our lives and at times these challenges may feel overwhelming or too difficult to cope with. The way Sarah works is conversational and supportive, providing a confidential and accepting place to help you manage and explore whatever you are going through.
Psychotherapy can help us to understand and gain awareness of ourselves and our behavioural patterns, allowing us to take control of our lives and have choices about what we do and how we do it. We can become conscious of how we respond to and express different emotions, how we communicate, how we form and maintain relationships or how we manage conflict, and therefore we can develop the capacity to change things for the better.
Sarah has many year’s experience of working privately with individuals and as a volunteer for Samaritans and the mental health charity Mind. She has also run post-natal support groups and works with new mothers in children’s centres in South-East London.
