Sarah Smith provides a compassionate, warm and affirming space where clients can feel comfortable to reflect and express their internal process, whilst feeling seen and heard.
Although counselling can be associated with working through painful memories or experiences, Sarah believes that it can also be very beneficial for overall personal development of one’s self. She believes in working with her clients and their dis-ease. Sarah’s mode of counselling is integrative, which means she draws on several ways of working according to what her client’s needs are. Sarah may use mindfulness to help reduce anxious responses, Gestalt therapy to focus on the client’s immediate thoughts and feelings, helping to identify how they respond to various situations and challenges. Her approach will vary from client to client as it is based on what the individual would benefit from.
