Sharon provides a safe, empathic, and non-judgemental space in which clients can explore feelings and emotions causing concern or conflict. Understanding each person is unique, her chosen counselling training is integrative, offering more than one therapeutic approach. From a person-centred foundation, Sharon supports the client to consider their needs and behaviours, develop self-awareness of body, mind and spirit, and build on their strengths, in order to have confidence in themselves and their decisions.

With a background in elite athlete management, Sharon has experience supporting the well-being of the whole person vs purely the performer, carer, boss, or other role that may lead to internal and external pressures. She works with clients presenting various concerns, including anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, single event trauma and loss, and is particularly interested in the emotional impact of transitions, such as a young age leaving education, or at mid-life with career change, menopause or taking on a caring role. Sharon is a qualified Professional Coach and Exercise Referral Practitioner, understanding the impact of mind on body. Her motivation comes through life experiences of caring for a parent with dementia and chronic illness, and is currently a Coach with Cancer Support UK, supporting those with the psychological impact post treatment.

Sharon is currently studying for the Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and registered with the BACP. She works with The Awareness Centre’s service within NHS Wandsworth.
