Counselling and psychotherapy with Sophia Monerville provides a confidential, therapeutic and collaborative space where you become more aware of your inner conflicts and can safely examine what these may mean in the wider context of your life. With Sophia, you are presented with the opportunity to develop self-awareness and to explore your own potential to create positive changes. Talk therapy with Sophia aims to improve emotional well-being, enrich your relationships with others, and essentially to help you to achieve self-compassion and acceptance, and to be in harmony with yourself.
Sophia’s openness to knowing and validating people as individuals, and to establishing a solution-focused response to subjective needs, was initially developed in her extensive teaching experience. She is committed to self-regulation becoming a reality and understands how inner tensions, external pressures and personal anger can sometimes seem overwhelming and get in the way of living. Specialising n anxiety and having a keen interest in issues of life transitions, gender, identity and sexuality, Sophia uses a here-and-now approach to clarify unhelpful thoughts and to attend to complex emotions and feelings.
Sophia is an experienced Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist and has a private practice in Battersea. With a Master of Arts degree in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy, Sophia is a BACP registered member who adheres to its Ethical Framework and engage with CPD. Her integrative approach draws on her training in person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapies, and embraces her natural existential-stance.
