Stephanie Baum provides a supportive space where you can find a different perspective on your experiences in the past and present. She believes that counselling can be an important step towards connecting more deeply with yourself and others. She is committed to practicing in a sensitive, thoughtful and compassionate way, respectful of the different backgrounds, cultures and identities of her clients. Stephanie works in a holistic way, honouring the wisdom of mind and body. She can work in English and German language.
With a background supporting disabled students in higher education, Stephanie has an interest and experience in issues around identity and belonging. Building rapport quickly is one of the cornerstone abilities in her relationships with clients. She learned to adapt to people who are differing greatly in their needs and personalities. Furthermore, working on a one-to-one basis made her respect that everyone has their own pace, goals, attitudes and values. She has experience of working with disabilities, for example long term health conditions and Specific Learning Differences (Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD).
Stephanie is an integrative counsellor and is a member of the BACP and UKCP. She sees patients at a GP surgery for The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service in Lambeth. Stephanie is currently working towards a Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
