Yoni Ben-Haim is an integrative counsellor, which means he utilises different approaches to suit the client and the presented issues stated during sessions. He believes that counselling is not about tailoring theory or approaches to a client, but rather an opportunity to build a trusting and safe relationship. Yoni works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service in the borough of Wandsworth.
Yoni aims to create an empathic atmosphere which facilitates empowerment, confidence, awareness and trust. Working integratively, He may identify areas to help clients achieve their innate potential, working together to confronting painful and unresolved feelings. Yoni’s personality exudes calmness, support and authenticity and he aims to aid his clients connect with the person they wish to be in the here and now.
Yoni has a varied work history, which has encouraged his road towards training in therapy, in particular by exploring stress and anxiety management. He has experience of working within the private financial sector, working in a foreign country and engaging with music and art. This life experience has provided manageable solutions, and he understands the demands of a stressful environment. Yoni recognises the importance of being attuned to clients by helping give negative thoughts and feelings a voice. Yoni is working towards an advanced diploma in Humanistic Integrative counselling and is registered with the BACP.
Yoni offers therapy in English and Hebrew.
