Zaneta Masionis provides a safe and secure environment in the therapeutic setting for her clients, as she facilities them to accept their inner thoughts and feelings. She uses a humanistic integrative approach which includes Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transaction Analysis methods. Zaneta provides strategies to help her clients better manage their emotions, improve their relationships and cope with day-to-day stress that life brings. She appreciates how difficult the process of therapy can be and how exposed one can feel when first entering into therapeutic relationship. Therefore, she spends time getting to know clients so that together they can develop a relationship that is collaborative, non-judgemental and allows the client to use the therapy effectively, at their own pace.
With a background as a Retail Manager, Zaneta has a deep understanding of different cultural backgrounds and experiences. She has experience supporting people with anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, gender identity, sexuality and abuse. Zaneta believes that we all deserve to live full, meaningful and satisfying lives and as a humanistic counsellor she believes that everyone has the capacity to do so. However, pressures of everyday life, our experiences and our habits can sometimes get in a way. In these moments, therapy can be very helpful. Zaneta is particularly interested in working with people struggling with gender identity, sexuality, addiction, abuse, loneliness and isolation.
Zaneta is a humanistic integrative counsellor and is registered with BACP. She is working on an open-ended basis within The Awareness Centre’s low-cost counselling service in Tooting. She is currently working towards diploma in humanistic integrative counselling and can offer therapy in English and Polish.
