Zoe Witchell works in an integrative way. She responds to the needs of the client using a range of modalities and tools depending on what the client brings to the room and how the client is most able to access their thoughts and navigate difficult feelings. Zoe works within The Awareness Centre’s low-cost division and also has current ongoing experience within group work at a private residential facility.
Zoe has an interest in addiction both substance and process and the effect that has on individual, families and communities. Her therapeutic room is familiar and comfortable with the language of 12 step fellowships. With experience across many different therapeutic approaches over 20 years, Zoe is able to engage with clients through various approaches and offer platforms and support to hear and help heal individual clients however they most feel able. Zoe also uses Mindfulness, meditation and spirituality as vehicles for clients to process and acknowledge what might be going on with them today and historically.
Previously Zoe has worked within high pressured media jobs and understands how to communicate well and emphatically within a wide spectrum of different people in challenging circumstances. It has been a solid foundation for her skill base within the therapeutic world alongside specialising in anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, trauma, addiction, self-harm and isolation. Connection to self, to others and beyond is the basis in which Zoe believes can make real difference with clients and uses this widely in her work from self-care to learning to trust.
