Molly Rose Anne
Molly Rose Anne is a counsellor with an integrative approach, and is registered as a member of the BACP. She works within The Awareness Centre’s low-cost counselling service in Clapham, and is currently working towards her advanced diploma in integrative therapeutic counselling.
Molly aims to work together with her clients to create a safe space where clients can open up, share and explore difficult thoughts and feelings, and truly be themselves. Molly believes that empathy and trust are essential to the development of the therapeutic relationship. Her integrative approach to counselling is built on a variety of theoretical approaches; Person-Centred theory is non-directive places emphasis on developing the client’s self-knowledge and self-acceptance in the here-and-how. The Psychodynamic approach helps clients to understand how their past experiences and unconscious thoughts affect their current behaviour. CBT can be helpful through re-framing negative thoughts and patterns of behaviour. Molly’s integrative approach is based primarily on these theories, and can be tailored to the individual client.
With a background in sales, Molly has an understanding of the challenges of working in a high-stress environment and knows first-hand how helpful a therapeutic space can be, in offering a place for one to offload and explore one’s thoughts and feelings. Her firm believe in the value of therapeutic counselling led Molly to re-train in order to begin offering this therapeutic space to others. Molly has previously worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, alcohol addiction, work-related stress, issues of self-worth, relationship problems, and childhood sexual trauma.
