The Awareness Centre runs one of the largest voluntary counselling placements in London, supporting students throughout their training and enabling them to work with clients on both a short-term and open-ended basis, face to face and online. Our placements provide invaluable opportunities for trainees to develop their skills, helping them progress toward qualification while gaining enhanced clinical experience as therapists.
Students on The Awareness Centre Training School’s Diploma in Integrative Counselling are offered a placement as part of their training. We also accept registered student counsellors, psychotherapists and counselling psychologists from other training institutes who are working towards qualification and accreditation with BACP, NCPS or UKCP.
TAC Training School Students
For trainee therapists with 0+ supervised client hours.
External Counselling Students
For trainee therapists with 40+ supervised client hours.
We run a multilingual counselling service within our NHS placement and are particularly interested in hearing from therapists who speak Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Farsi and Hindi.
