Terms & Conditions

Supervision Arrangements

Each supervision session will last for 60 minutes and take place no less than once every calendar month. Sessions can be offered online, in-person or hybrid. The session fee will not be charged where a supervisor and supervisee inform each other of a planned absence no less than four weeks in advance. Late cancellations will still be charged unless it is due to a hospital appointment or immediate family bereavement.

The supervisor will:

  • Provide one-to-one supervision sessions for the supervisee.
  • Offer a safe and supportive environment for reflection and learning.
  • Support the supervisee in maintaining ethical and competent practice.
  • Notify the supervisee of any changes to availability or supervision arrangements.
  • Be a registered therapist and eligible for accreditation with a UK professional body such as the BACP, UKCP or NCPS
  • Be in regular supervision for their supervisory work
  • Consent to having your contact details shared with the supervisee for the purposes of this arrangement
  • Hold professional liability insurance
  • Be registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)

The supervisee will:

  • Attend supervision sessions punctually.
  • Come prepared to discuss professional development and client work with adults (18+ years old).
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
  • Inform the supervisor of any concerns affecting their practice.
  • Notify the supervisor of any changes to availability
  • Pay £35 per supervision session during the supervision placement
  • Consent to having your contact details shared with the supervisor for the purposes of this arrangement

Financial Arrangements

  • The supervisee will make a direct payment of £35 to The Awareness Centre for the first supervision session.
  • For subsequent supervision sessions, the supervisee agrees to pay the session fee of £35 directly to the supervisor.
  • The supervisor and supervisee acknowledge that this fee structure applies only whilst the supervisor is participating in the placement arrangement and prior to qualification.
  • Upon successful qualification of the supervisor, the supervision fee is no longer fixed at £35 per session. The supervisor may renegotiate and determine their own supervision fee structure with the supervisee.

Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality in accordance with:

  • UK GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
  • Relevant professional ethical frameworks, such as the BACP, UKCP or NCPS. · The policies and procedures of The Awareness Centre.
  • Confidentiality may only be breached where there is a legal, ethical or safeguarding obligation to do so.

Professional Conduct

Both parties agree to:

  • Treat each other respectfully.
  • Maintain professional boundaries.
  • Address concerns openly and professionally.
  • Work in accordance with relevant professional and ethical standards.

Termination of Agreement

Either party may terminate this agreement by providing written notice.

The agreement may also be terminated immediately where:

  • Ethical or professional concerns arise by the supervisor or supervisee.
  • The supervisory relationship is deemed unsuitable by the supervisor and/or the supervisee.
  • The Awareness Centre Training School determines that the arrangement should cease.
