Aisha Latif is an integrative trainee counsellor, registered with the BACP and UKCP.  She works within The Awareness Centre’s Low Cost Service in Clapham, and is working towards an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy.

Carefully drawing on a blend of somatic, psychodynamic, person-centred and existential therapies, Aisha aims to support clients with the most appropriate therapy for them as a unique individual who is aiming to make sense of their world. Aisha has a calm and down to earth approach and aims to build a therapeutic alliance where the individual has a safe and confidential space to explore their thoughts and feelings freely, without judgement.  Aisha believes individuals have a desire to be seen and heard and aims to provide a space for authentic dialogue.

Beginning the therapy journey – or changing therapist – can be daunting.  However, the process and the destination can be enriching and rewarding and Aisha hopes to support you in navigating this process.

Aisha currently works for the VAWG (violence against women and girls) sector supporting vulnerable women and has worked in the not for profit sector for many years.  Her life and work experiences means that she has the experience to empathetically hold clients with a variety of life experiences.

Aisha has experience of working with clients who have suffered from anxiety, are grieving, have work related stress, as well as survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.   Aisha has a preference working with long-term clients as this allows for the space and time for issues to emerge and long-lasting change to take place.
