Ana Carneiro
Ana Carneiro supports clients with many different backgrounds and walks of life, facing all sorts of challenges involving sudden significant change: job loss, physical and mental illness, displacement and resettlement due to traumatic events, homelessness, and others. Managing change has been a constant in Ana’s life making her a believer of one’s very own balance in the life dynamics. Ana follows a humanistic integrative model with combined concepts from person centred, psychodynamic and existential approaches recognising that each client has unique needs and working towards a relational connection. Most importantly, always providing the client with a safe space, without judgment, facilitating their journey of self- reflection towards resilience and growth in these ever-changing environments and conditions.
With a previous corporate professional experience in technical leadership in the Energy Industry, Ana worked in locations in Europe, North and South America and Africa, with frequent business travel including global placements and offshore rotations, helped by her fluency in Portuguese and Spanish. This has equipped Ana with useful insights into work related stress and anxiety and work- life conflicts, in a diverse perspective. This, together with Ana’s mixed heritage background, contribute as valuable skills that Ana uses as therapist, IAG advisor and in her own online coaching and mentoring practice.
Ana Carneiro is an Integrative Trainee Counsellor, a member of BACP, working within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Lambeth Borough.
