Ana Moens-Lecumberri is a trainee integrative counsellor and is a member with the BACP. She works within the NHS Lambeth Talking Therapies for The Awareness Centre and is currently working towards a Diploma in Integrative Counselling at The Awareness Centre Training School.

Ana’s approach is flexible rather than fixed; she adapts her approach to each individual person, based on where they are at, where they have been and where they want to go. She may use elements from different modalities, including person-centred, Gestalt, psychodynamic, transpersonal and creative disciplines. Ana brings a warm, compassionate and caring presence, with which she hopes to create a collaborative, non-judgmental and respectful space for the client, where they can feel heard and unafraid to bring themselves. The hope is that clients can use this space to better understand and accept themselves, find meaning and improve their connection with themselves and others.

Ana has worked in the charity sector as a support worker in various capacities for over six years. She has worked with young people in A&E involved in youth violence, adults living with mental health diagnoses in Brixton, young women experiencing domestic abuse and most recently women involved in the criminal justice system. These experiences have strengthened her ability to communicate and work with people with varying needs and build a trusting and safe relationship, upholding ethical standards and healthy boundaries to be able to support people who are most in need. Ana has supported clients through anxiety, depression, homelessness, domestic abuse, criminal justice involvement, self-harm, suicidal ideation, grief, identity, self-esteem and shame.  Ana believes that everyone deserves to have a space to freely and safely explore their past and present experiences, thoughts, feelings and behaviours, all of which carry something worth listening to and engaging with.
