Aoife Chew is a warm, empathetic, and collaborative counsellor. She aims to support and empower individuals by creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. Her work draws on integrative approaches, including Gestalt, psychodynamic, and person-centred therapy, with each session tailored to the unique needs of the individual.

Alongside her counselling work, Aoife is also a trauma-informed yoga teacher, with a keen interest in health psychology and the mind–body connection. This complements her therapeutic practice by bringing an understanding of how stress and trauma can impact the body and nervous system, including experiences such as difficulty feeling safe, muscle tension, sleep disturbance, digestive issues, and anxiety or panic. Where appropriate and helpful, she may gently invite embodied techniques into sessions, always guided by the client’s comfort and consent.

Aoife spent nearly 20 years working in fast-paced market research agencies with global brands, travelling extensively to better understand how and why people behave as they do. This background has given her a strong understanding of stress, burnout, identity, life transitions, and the pressures of modern life, and how these can sometimes lead to unhelpful coping strategies. Having lived and worked across cultures, she brings sensitivity, openness, and respect for diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.  Aoife is a trainee integrative counsellor registered with the BACP and BPS. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and currently works within NHS Talking Therapies Lambeth while completing her Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
