Arantza Sanchez Garcia
Arantza Sanchez Garcia is a trainee integrative counsellor, her integrative approach means she does not believe in a “one size fits all” model of counselling. Instead, she adapts the way she works to suit each individual and their unique experiences. At the heart of her practice is a strong belief that compassion is central to healing. She aims to create a warm, welcoming and non-judgemental space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected and accepted. She understands that starting therapy can feel daunting and works at a pace that feels manageable and collaborative. By gently exploring thoughts, feelings and patterns, she supports clients in developing greater self-awareness, resilience and confidence. She sees the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful change and values honesty, trust and openness within that relationship.
Originally from Mexico, she brings an international and bilingual perspective to her work, deepening her understanding of culture and identity. Drawing on her own experience of living between cultures, she appreciates how complex belonging and identity can feel. She has a particular interest in supporting clients navigating cross-cultural experiences, anxiety, low self-esteem and unhealthy relationship patterns. Before retraining as a counsellor, she worked in project management, where she developed strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a reliable, professional approach. She is committed to her ongoing personal and professional development and brings warmth, curiosity and genuine care to her work as a developing practitioner.
Arantza is currently on placement with the NHS in Wandsworth. She is studying towards a Diploma in Integrative Counselling at The Awareness Centre in Clapham and has completed a Foundation Certificate in Counselling (Level 3 equivalent). She practices in line with the BACP Ethical Framework and is committed to working safely and ethically, offering a consistent, confidential and supportive space.
