Claire provides a warm, welcoming space where you can feel safe and comfortable to explore your unique concerns. She focuses on building a relationship with you that is based on respect, care and trust, and a belief in your self-worth and incredible powers of self-healing. Claire aims to support you to nurture the most important relationship in your life – the one you have with yourself. Working collaboratively and at your own pace, Claire will support you to develop personal awareness and an understanding of your difficulties by exploring your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Claire believes your culture, environment, experiences and relationships, past and present, have an impact on who, and how, you are today. By exploring these aspects of yourself, you can begin to accept yourself and open-up to your limitless potential.

Using an integrative and relational approach, Claire draws on different philosophies and techniques according to your needs and preferred ways of working. These include humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and the mind-body connection. With experience in differing workplaces such as government and international development, Claire understands the pressures of balancing personal, work and familial needs, and managing tricky relationships. Born and raised in Northern Ireland, Claire has a personal understanding of the various cross-cultural and religious issues that affect many of us today. Claire has worked with clients impacted by relationship abuse and control, life transitions, chronic illnesses, identity concerns, depression and anxiety.

Claire has an MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.  She is a registered member of the BACP. Her private practice also includes therapy online and outdoors.
