Donna Turner is an integrative counsellor in training, working towards an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling at The Awareness Centre and undertaking a placement in Wandsworth. She holds a BSc in Psychology and Counselling and an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health. Donna is a registered member of both the BACP and the British Psychological Society (BPS), and is committed to providing ethical, safe and reflective practice in line with their professional standards,

Donna’s integrative approach enables her to draw on a range of evidence-based therapeutic models, tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs, experiences and goals of each individual. Donna believes that a trusting therapeutic relationship provides the foundation for meaningful and lasting change. She offers a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions and experiences at a pace that feels right for them. Working collaboratively, she adapts her approach to suit each client’s individual needs while recognising the strengths and resilience they already possess. Her integrative way of working combines relational and solution-focused principles, supporting clients to develop greater self-awareness, strengthen coping strategies and move towards meaningful personal goals. Donna has experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem and relationship difficulties, and has a particular interest in supporting people affected by trauma and grief. She aims to help clients make sense of their experiences, build resilience and create positive, sustainable change in their lives.

Alongside her clinical training, Donna brings valuable experience from her role as a Wellbeing Practitioner, where she has supported individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges. Her academic background in psychology and neuroscience further informs her understanding of the biological, psychological and social factors that influence emotional wellbeing. Having lived abroad for more than a decade, Donna has developed a deep appreciation of cultural diversity and the ways in which culture, identity and life experiences shape each person’s story. She brings this awareness into her work with openness, curiosity and cultural sensitivity, creating an inclusive space where clients feel respected and understood. Donna also offers therapy in fluent Macedonian and Serbian/Croatian, enabling clients to access counselling in the language in which they feel most comfortable expressing themselves.
