Emily Wyness
Emily Wyness provides a safe and supportive space. She brings a warm, open-minded and empathetic approach, allowing individuals to explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. As an integrative counsellor, Emily incorporates several approaches, enabling clients to work with both present challenges and past experiences. She tailors her therapy to meet each client’s needs, fostering self-awareness, resilience and personal growth. By creating an environment where each individual feels heard and understood, Emily helps them develop healthier coping mechanisms and navigate life’s difficulties with greater confidence.
With a diverse professional background spanning the charitable, educational and corporate sectors, including a long career in the music industry, Emily has developed valuable interpersonal skills that enhance her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Having lived in several different countries, she brings a broad cultural perspective to her practice, deepening her understanding of the complexities of human experience. Emily is passionate about helping individuals recognise their inner-strength and believes that, through self-exploration and connection, we all have the potential to grow and thrive.
Emily Wyness is an integrative counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She is currently working towards her Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, having completed a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies and a Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Italian & French. Emily is working within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Counselling Service in Sutton.
