Fiona Colegrave approaches each client as a unique individual, allowing their experiences to emerge at a pace that feels safe and manageable for them. With empathy at the core of her practice, she supports clients in developing self-awareness and building resilience in response to life’s challenges. Drawing on a range of counselling theories and skills—including Transactional Analysis, Attachment Theory, and psychodynamic concepts—Fiona tailors her approach to meet the specific needs of each person. She works collaboratively with clients to stay focused on their agenda, ensuring that even within short-term therapy, the work remains meaningful, purposeful, and client-led.

Fiona began her career in marketing before moving into the non-profit sector. Her varied professional background, alongside her personal life experiences, has given her a deep understanding of the pressures many people face as they try to make sense of difficult or overwhelming aspects of their lives. Fiona brings this awareness into her therapeutic work, offering a compassionate and grounded space for clients. She has experience supporting individuals with a range of issues, including addiction, anxiety and stress, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
Fiona is a student counsellor in her final year of Level 4 study. She is a member of the BACP and uses an integrative approach to counselling. Fiona works at the Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service in Lambeth.
