Fiona is a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP who works with adults facing a wide range of life challenges. She understands that difficult experiences can leave people feeling overwhelmed, uncertain or disconnected from themselves. Through a warm, empathic and open approach, she helps clients develop the perspective and insight needed to understand their experiences and move towards meaningful change. Fiona specialises in supporting people experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, bereavement, the effects of trauma and relationship difficulties. She also works with those who sense that something is not quite right but find it difficult to identify or explain what may be missing.

Her integrative practice enables her to draw on a range of therapeutic theories and techniques according to each client’s needs. This may include attachment theory, self-regulation strategies and an exploration of how earlier experiences or relationships continue to influence thoughts, feelings and behaviour in the present. Rather than applying a fixed formula, Fiona takes time to understand each person’s circumstances, concerns and hopes for counselling. Sessions are tailored to the individual, allowing clients to set a pace and focus that feel manageable and appropriate.

At the heart of Fiona’s practice is the confidential, trusting and open relationship she builds with each client. She offers a supportive space in which clients can reflect honestly, feel heard and explore difficult experiences without judgement. She values the connection created through counselling and believes that meaningful, lasting change develops through a collaborative process. Throughout that process, she supports clients in recognising patterns, considering new perspectives and finding ways forward that are personally meaningful.

Her experience in business and the non-profit sector, alongside her work as a counsellor, gives Fiona a broad understanding of the varied pressures and transitions people may encounter. This background continues to inform her grounded, thoughtful practice and her appreciation that every client brings a unique history, identity and set of circumstances to the therapeutic relationship.

Fiona charges £75 per session and offers private online counselling and in-person or appointments at The Awareness Centre in Clapham.
