Gemma Hunt is an integrative counsellor registered and accredited with NCPS. She holds a level 6 diploma in counselling with a focus on Transactional Analysis and Person Centred approaches. She also has some training in working with young people, including some time working within The Brit School as a School counsellor. Gemma works in private practice from The Awareness Centre in Tooting.

Her main interests are neurodivergence and working on the challenges of self acceptance and also the grief that can come with a late diagnosis. She also holds space for young people aged 16 and over looking at challenges such as low self esteem, anxiety, suicidal ideation and self-harm.  Gemma welcomes neurodivergent minds, and also those from the LGBTQ+ community with lived experience in both. She is also experienced in working with domestic abuse at Sutton Women’s Centre and the depression, anxiety, and loss of identity that can follow. Gemma aims to provide a safe, non-judgemental space to work through any challenges you are experiencing with flexibility and a knowing that we are all different. Sometimes clients will have a clear goal and sometimes goals will move and change, and that’s OK.

Gemma has a background of 15 years in a corporate fast paced media industry background, and so knows the struggles that this life can present. Such as burnout, bullying, loneliness, existentialism and a feeling of disconnect. Where does my role end and where do I begin? Gemma provides a safe space for curiosity, exploration and growth.
