Hanine Habig is a counsellor currently working towards a diploma in integrative psychotherapy. She works with The Awareness Centre’s low-cost counselling service in Clapham. As a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, she follows their ethical framework to support safe and respectful practice.

Working integratively means that Hanine draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches, shaped to meet the unique needs of each person she works with. Her practice is grounded in existential-humanistic and psychodynamic ideas and is also inspired by body-psychotherapy, mindfulness, and transpersonal thought. Hanine takes a holistic view of the person—attending to mind, body, heart, and spirit, and the ways they connect and influence one another. She believes that taking time to listen to all parts of ourselves can be an enriching and healing process.

She offers a warm, accepting space where clients can explore their emotional and relational world at their own pace. Hanine welcomes those who are feeling overwhelmed, navigating difficult emotions, longing for deeper self-understanding, or simply wanting to create meaningful change in their lives.

Her professional journey has included work in business, interior design, and cultural anthropology. Her background in anthropology, in particular, has shaped her relational and collaborative way of working, and nurtured a strong respect for individual and cultural diversity. She cares about building a therapeutic relationship where each person feels truly seen and respected. Hanine welcomes people from all walks of life and has a particular affinity for working with those who identify as neurodiverse, queer, live with disability or health conditions, or who may experience marginalisation in society.
