Hannah Pamplin
Hannah Pamplin is an integrative counsellor and coach. She is a registered student member with the BACP and is studying towards a postgraduate diploma in integrative counselling and coaching. Hannah currently works within the Awareness Centre’s low cost counselling service in Tooting. Hannah also works within the voluntary sector supporting survivors of sexual assault and supporting people who have been bereaved by suicide.
Hannah’s approach to counselling is flexible and trauma-informed. She aims to create a safe and welcoming space in the therapy room, where the pace of sessions can be completely guided by you. As an integrative counsellor, she makes use of a number of different approaches, mainly person-centred counselling, transactional analysis, and acceptance and commitment therapy. In her practice Hannah begins by really listening to you and your story, working to understand and make sense of current and earlier life experiences, patterns and dynamics – and how these affect and impact you. If you are wanting to use the therapy space to work on change, Hannah’s practice also can include elements of solution-focused therapy. Her approach is both compassionate and practical, supporting you to gain insight while also working towards meaningful change.
Hannah’s background is in art psychology and journalism, having studied an MSc in the Psychology of Art, Neuroaesthetics and Creativity. More recently she has been working and volunteering in the third sector and manages a counselling service for a bereavement charity. As such she is creative and flexible in her approach to mental health support, and welcomes discussions about more holistic practices, if this feels helpful for you.
Hannah’s practice is LGBTQ+, Kink, and ENM friendly.
