Jen Langrish
Jen Langrish offers a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences at their own pace. She understands that starting counselling can feel like a significant step and aims to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel able to talk openly and be heard with care and respect.
Jen works using an integrative approach with a strong person-centred foundation. She places particular importance on the therapeutic relationship, believing that empathy, authenticity and unconditional positive regard create the conditions for meaningful exploration and change. She works collaboratively with clients, supporting them to develop deeper self understanding, reflect on their experiences and reconnect with what feels important, meaningful and authentic in their lives.
Jen has a particular interest in supporting clients through life transitions, personal challenges and periods of change, uncertainty or loss. She recognises that each person brings their own unique history, values and identity, and works sensitively and respectfully alongside them as they make sense of their experiences in their own way and at their own pace. Alongside her counselling training, Jen brings over ten years’ experience as a Professional Certified Coach (ICF), which supports her attentive listening and reflective approach. She works within an ethical therapeutic framework, attends regular supervision, and is committed to ongoing professional development. Jen is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and is currently working towards her Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, having completed a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies.
