Jeremy Gordon - Clinical Supervisor

Jeremy Gordon is a Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. Before training as a therapist, he worked for many years in international business consulting, including roles as a company director and charity trustee. That earlier career involved working closely with a range of organisations and senior leaders, and gave him a strong appreciation of responsibility, professional boundaries, and the pressures that come with them – experiences that continue to inform his work with trainees and qualified therapists.

Jeremy trained at Lewisham Counselling & Counsellor Training Associates (LC&CTA) in London, where he obtained his Higher Professional Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy. He later completed an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision (including online and telephone working) with Counselling Tutor. Alongside his private practice in London, he works as a group supervisor at The Awareness Centre, and has previously been a facilitator for Personal & Professional Development (PPD) groups, and a skills tutor for counselling students.

His therapeutic work is rooted in the Person-Centred Approach. His training has also included psychodynamic, existential and CBT perspectives, which allows him to think broadly about clinical material while remaining grounded in relational work. He has worked with a wide range of clients and understands the realities of building and sustaining a practice.

As a supervisor, Jeremy works from a person-centred base within the framework of the Seven-Eyed Model. He aims to provide a steady and thoughtful space where supervisees can reflect on their client work, ethical questions and their own internal responses. He is interested not only in what is happening for the client, but also in how the therapist is experiencing the work. With trainees in particular, he focuses on helping develop confidence, clarity and professional identity, while maintaining care for both client and self.
