Laura Bond is a qualified counsellor with a BSc in Counselling and Coaching working in private practice at The Awareness Centre in Clapham. She is a highly trained practitioner, who offers a warm, supportive space where people can feel safe to talk openly,
especially during times when life feels overwhelming or uncertain. With experience working in the NHS, private practice and secondary schools, she has supported individuals through a wide range of emotional , psychological, and life challenges. Laura understands that seeking counselling can feel daunting, particularly if someone is in crisis or struggling to make sense of difficult experiences, and she aims to create an atmosphere that is calm, compassionate, and free from judgement. Her focus is on helping clients feel heard, understood, and empowered as they work towards greater emotional wellbeing.

As an integrative practitioner, Laura draws on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit each person’s unique needs rather than applying a single one-size-fits-all method. She regularly works with individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, and workplace related pressures, alongside those navigating life transitions, relationship difficulties, or periods of emotional overwhelm. Her integrative approach allows flexibility, meaning sessions can adapt as clients’ needs evolve. Laura works with young people aged 13years and upwards as well as adults, tailoring her approach carefully to each person’s life stage, experiences, and goals while maintaining a strong emphasis on emotional safety and trust.

The areas mentioned are not exhaustive, and clients do not need to have a clearly defined issue to seek support. Whether someone is coping with trauma, facing a challenging period at work, home, or school, feeling stuck, or simply wanting a space to reflect and gain clarity, Laura welcomes the opportunity to work together. Every concern is valid, and counselling can be helpful even when difficulties are hard to put into words. She offers a professional yet approachable environment where clients can explore what matters to them, develop resilience, and move toward greater balance, self-understanding, and confidence at their
own pace. For those looking for a counsellor who listens carefully, works alongside them and adapts therapy to suit their needs, Laura offers a supportive and thoughtful therapeutic partnership.
