Lisa Tilling - Clinical Supervisor

Lisa Tilling is an Integrative Psychotherapist and Supervisor who trained at The Sherwood Institute of Psychotherapy and holds an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy as well as being a qualified couples therapist and EMDR practitioner. She is a registered member of UKCP, BPS and COSRT and holds  a Post Graduate Certificate in a Relational Approach to Trauma and a  further one in Clinical Supervision covering both individuals and groups.

Lisa works with an Integrative approach using various relational – development approaches including  object relations and   attachment theory alongside a range of other supporting concepts, and has extensive experience in private practice, often working with trauma through a trauma informed lens. As well as working in private practice Lisa has worked in the charity and voluntary sector which fits with her values and beliefs. In addition she is also a skills facilitator on the BSc Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy course at The Sherwood Institute.

Her supervision aim is to provide a safe and reflective environment with an emphasis on building safe and ethical practice in a supportive space. Lisa encourages her supervisees to be authentic in their approach and to develop their practice in a collaborative space. Within supervision Lisa believes that each supervisee is unique in their practice and individual needs, so she  encourages open dialogue and discussion to facilitate exploration and learning, alongside suitable and appropriate challenge when needed with the aim of development and growth. She enjoys the experience of working with supervisees and  the  outcomes of the shared learning that results from these interactions.
