Max works from a Person-Centred foundation, offering a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. He integrates elements of Psychodynamic theory, helping clients understand how past experiences influence their present lives. He believes in a collaborative approach, supporting clients in developing self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth.

Alongside his counselling training, Max has experience as a SHOUT volunteer, providing text-based crisis support, which has strengthened her active listening and emotional support skills. He has also worked with young people in an educational setting, deepening his interest in issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem, and identity. He is passionate about making therapy accessible and inclusive, particularly for those facing systemic barriers to mental health support.

Max is a trainee integrative counsellor working within The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service. He is currently working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). He has experience supporting clients with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties in both counselling and crisis support settings.
