Michael Bascombe is an integrative counsellor dedicated to providing a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals seeking support and guidance on their journey towards personal growth and positive change. Michael adopts an integrative humanistic approach to counselling, focused on building a strong therapeutic relationship and empowering individuals to discover their own solutions.

Alongside  counselling work, Michael works for an NHS body within the justice system seeking to identify vulnerabilities in people early on, reducing the likelihood  people will reach crisis-point. In therapeutic work Michael also works to help people get the right support from the start of their journey. He  volunteers for an NHS community outreach program focusing on supporting people from BME backgrounds living with mental health challenges.

Given his personal background and experience, Michael is very comfortable working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. He particularly understands the unique challenges and experiences that mixed race individuals often face, including identity exploration, cultural conflicts, and navigating multiple cultural contexts. Michael is committed to creating a culturally sensitive and inclusive space where clients can freely explore their issues without fear of judgement. Michael is a member of the BACP. He works with the NHS Wandsworth Counselling Service and is working towards his Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
